 Captain David Wright
Captain David Wright, ex-OCL, P&O Containers and P&O Nedlloyd, died recently, aged 75. He was a well known figure, and had many friends in the company both in the UK and overseas.
David’s daughter, Gillie Graham, has contacted SCARA who in turn have been in touch with the PONL Heritage Group asking for help to let people who knew him know that his funeral will take place on Monday 30th June 2008.
A short Committal Service will take place at Mortlake Crematorium at 10am followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at St Luke’s Church, Sydney Street, Chelsea at 11am. You are invited to attend either or both Services.
In lieu of flowers, David had specified that donations be made in his memory to ‘The Mission to Seafarers’, and sent to Chelsea Funeral Directors, 260b Fulham Road, London SW10 9EL. Their telephone number is 020 7352 0008.
Please let Gillie (07729 357165 or gilliegg@hotmail.com) know if they will be seeing you on Monday 30th June.
