New Feature
In addition to the standard Linked In functionality we have set up a Group for ex PONL employees.
This group will allow individual PONL employees to contact each other directly within Linked-In without having to go through the normal link to my "trusted network" process, and you'll get the PONL Heritage logo displayed on your LinekdIn profile page. It should then be easier for us all to keep in touch in the future. If you would like to join this group please click the link below:
https://www.linkedin.com/e/gis/1775/265C9777527A/ | The PONL Heritage Group were looking for an on-line tool that would help ex-P&O Nedlloyd staff to keep in touch and updated on their careers and movements after leaving the company. Research revealed that www.linkedin.com had already been adopted by many staff worldwide, so it was decided that the Group would provide a link and brief instructions for its use on this website.
Anyone who has already registered with LinkedIn.Com should click on the LinkedIn logo below.

First time users are recommended to read the notes below and the follow the instructions provided.
Notes:
- LinkedIn is primarily a networking tool, but it also allows people to post up an on-line CV. Connections are made between members on a recommendation/referral basis
- As with any database, the information is only comprehensive and accurate if people put in the effort to set up their profile correctly and keep it up to date
- Normal membership for LinkedIn is free
Instructions:
- The simplest way of getting 'Linkedin' is to ask someone who is already registered to send you an invitation to connect. To do this the other person just needs a valid email address for you.
- If you do not already know a 'LinkedIn' member then go to www.linkedin.com and click on the 'JOIN NOW' button. Follow the on-screen instructions until the registration process has completed. You should then find that you reach your personalised HOME PAGE. On the right-hand side of that page, about half-way down, is an area titled "INVITE SOMEONE TO YOUR NETWORK". Enter the name and email address of someone else that you know is an ex-PONL employee. That person will receive an email containing an invite to connect to you on 'LinkedIn'. If they are already a member and connected to other ex-PONL staff then you will also gain access to their network of contacts. You should repeat this process, making contact with any many people as you would like to have in your network.
